It’s time to reveal another amazing bundle of dies. This is an exclusive reveal of the bundle that will be available this Tuesday – 8 August 2017 – on Create & Craft TV (watch on Sky 674, Freeview 23, Virgin 748, Freesat 813, Apple TV and Amazon Fire). Shows will be at 10am and 3pm.
I am very excited for the week ahead. I’ve just finished preparing the sample cards with each and every individual die – all 24 of them – to reveal during the shows but if you can’t wait that long, then read on.
There are five packs of dies in the bundle but they can also be purchased individually. It’s much better value to get them all though, and there are some useful dies in here that you’ll turn to again and again, without doubt.
If you are familiar with First Edition dies, the first thing you will notice is the colour change. The dies are now a grey colour rather than steel and they have a gloss coating. This coating has been developed based on research into the optimum paint molecule size for the most efficient cut and ease of release. First Edition dies have always been amazing quality but now science can prove how easy they are to work with. Don’t forget you also get the magnetic sheet in each pack, perfect for storing your dies.
Here is a selection of my makes using these dies available on Tuesday. These will all be on set during the show which you can watch live here: http://www.createandcraft.com/gb/tvschedule
The Trimcraft design team has excelled itself again! In this die set you will get a plaque shaped topper die and five …. yes FIVE…. interchangeable centres.
You can cut the plaque and centre at the same time (I’d advise using a bit of washi tape or low tack tape to hold them in place during the run through the die cutting machine so that they don’t move and cross over). The centres feature butterflies, hearts, a vase of flowers and two sentiments – Special Day and Just for You. Don’t they make great cucpcake toppers?
On this card I used the heart insert several times to create the background before using the insert inside the outer plaque for the topper.
Flowers (and foliage)
This pack contains five dies. There are two flowers which are very intricate and feature ornate designs. They are very pretty and will be a great addition to your floral die stash.
Again, the two individual leaf dies feature ornate designs and there is a stem with leaves which will match so many of your flower head dies.
These are the cutest dies to welcome newborns. I created a baby shower banner and a gorgeous pop up card which could be given after the birth of a baby girl, or would be equally suitable for a baby’s christening.
The die pack includes a pram, a baby’s bottle, a mother and child and a frame containing the sentiment ‘Welcome Little One’, great for paper piecing and using the negative letters on another make.
It’s not very often I am whole heartedly chuffed with a card I’ve made. Like many crafters, I feel there is always room for improvement in my makes and I never quite hit the heady heights of perfection, probably because it’s much better in my head than when I actually come to assemble it on paper. However this card is up there with one of my all time favourites.
The intrcate (there’s that word again) wedding couple die is simply stunning. Perfect for weddings and anniversaries alike, I love how it looks both in monochrome and in pastel colours.
The other dies in the set include linked hearts, LOVE in an ornate frame and an exquisite dove.
A must-have in your craft stash if just for the corner dies alone. No need to use up your precious papers by matting and layering, these corners will really make your crafts stand out. See how I used the corners on the card in my last post.
On top of that there is also a three aperture frame, a small photo frame style die and a larger version, perfect for shaker cards and creating a focal point on your cards.
This large frame die was perfect for my scrapbook page where I matched the First Edition Storyteller papers with images of my little ones’ henna painted hands at a festival in Harrogate called Happygate. I added a few of the intricate flowers too as the designs were very similar to the henna patterns.
Hope you can join me on Tuesday and tune in for demos using this fantastic set of dies.
